Embark on a rewarding assignment as a Med Surg Registered Nurse, providing exceptional care and clinical expertise. This position is ideal for nurses with a strong background in Medical-Surgical units who enjoy dynamic environments and meaningful patient interactions.

Schedule:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts
  • 13-week contract
  • Flexibility to float to units of equal or lower acuity, including the possibility of working in a lockdown unit as needed

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Base telemetry experience preferred
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Comfortable adapting to a variety of units within the facility

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive, compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring effective transitions and continuity of care
  • Safely administer medications, manage IVs, and provide wound and post-operative care
  • Respond effectively to emergencies and follow infection control policies
  • Float as needed to support staffing across different units, including specialized lockdown areas
