Deliver advanced, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment within a renowned teaching hospital. This opportunity, focused on a 30-bed Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with Level 1 Trauma designation, is ideal for experienced nurses ready to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic setting.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7A–7P or 7P–7A
  • Weekend rotation: 5–6 shifts every 6 weeks
  • No call obligations
  • Holiday coverage: at least one major holiday per year

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active RN license and two years’ Med-Surg/Telemetry experience required
  • BLS required; Basic Cardiac Rhythm (including EKG rhythm testing) required during onboarding
  • ACLS and Medical-Surgical Nursing certification preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in trach care, chest tube management, insulin and heparin drips, PIV and IV insertion, complex wound and post-op care, and telemetry interpretation
  • Competence managing CHF, COPD, STEMI, NSTEMI, sepsis, and related acute diagnoses
  • Comprehensive clinical assessment and care coordination abilities vital for high-volume, interdisciplinary teams
  • Prior EPIC charting experience preferred

Duties:

  • Manage a patient ratio of 1:4–6, delivering acute care for cardiac, step-down ICU, and general medical patients
  • Incorporate evidence-based nursing interventions across the patient spectrum
  • Coordinate with CNAs, secretaries, discharge/resource nurses, and an always-available clinical support team
  • Participate in rapid response and interdisciplinary care planning for complex discharges and cardiac cases
  • Float as needed among medical-surgical telemetry units within the hospital
