A dynamic opportunity is available for a Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing. This contract role focuses on supporting a busy multi-unit department dedicated to decompressing the Emergency Department and various specialty areas within the hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert nursing care across five med-surg and med-tele units, including ADTU and satellite units.
- Manage patient care for adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, CHF exacerbation, trauma cases, pulmonary embolism, and GI bleeds.
- Conduct cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, tracheostomy and chest tube management, and perform IV starts and catheter care.
- Handle medication drip management including cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IV fluids.
- Collaborate closely with resource nurses, charge nurses, CNAs, and hospitalists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize EMR Epic for documentation and work with medical technology like Alaris IV Pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Phillips monitors.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with 2+ years in Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Proficiency in stroke care, cardiac monitoring, and complex med-surg skills.
- Ability and willingness to float within the regional facilities as required.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7a-7p and 7p-7a).
- Weekend rotation every other week.
- Holiday work required approximately 75% of the time.
- No on-call obligations.
