This travel assignment offers the chance to work in a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital—an exceptional environment to develop advanced clinical skills, collaborate with expert leaders, and immerse yourself in high-acuity care alongside an award-winning multidisciplinary team.
As an RN within this 36-bed MedSurg/Tele unit, you’ll care for a wide range of patients, including those recovering from spinal surgeries, strokes, seizures, neuromuscular disease, and complex post-op conditions. You'll foster your expertise in neuro and spine care, pain management (including with at-risk populations), advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation, and a host of specialized interventions (trach care, chest tube management, PCA pumps, and more). You’ll learn EPIC documentation, master the latest medical equipment, and adapt to varied workflows by collaborating with teams across different hospital regions.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts: 7a-7p and 7p-7a
- Every other weekend rotation
- 6-week scheduling cycles
- Holiday coverage required (75%)
- Up to 6 days of flexible time off (with contract extension if needed)
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active RN license and BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of MedSurg/Tele experience
- Proficiency with neuro, cardiac, and high-acuity post-op care
- Comfort with floating among medical centers within the region, and adaptability to regional needs
- Team-focused, responsive to feedback, committed to quality and patient safety
- EPIC and Alaris pump experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to diverse med/tele patient populations
- Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms and manage medication drips
- Provide education to patients and families on recovery and care plans
- Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, and ancillary support team
- Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold hospital safety standards
