In this role, you’ll work on fast-paced ADTU and Satellite units focused on decompressing the ED and specialty areas. Sharpen your skills among experienced teams, including free-standing charge nurses, 24/7 CNAs and hospitalists, robust support services, and sophisticated technology like Epic EMR and Alaris IV pumps. Exposure to a Level I Trauma and Teaching Hospital environment allows you to explore a variety of leadership approaches, fostering your growth as a Med/Tele professional while introducing valuable new workplace practices.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a)
  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • No on-call required
  • Holiday coverage: 75% of holidays
  • 6-week schedule cycle

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Tele RN experience
  • Strong proficiency in stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube and drain management, medication drips, and telemetry monitoring
  • Epic EMR experience is a plus
  • Floating within region and scope of practice is mandatory

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding, compassionate care in Med-Surg/Telemetry settings for adult/geriatric patients
  • Perform cardiac and stroke assessments, manage complex tubes/drains, initiate medication drips
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary support teams
  • Remain adaptable and resourceful when floating to other units or facilities
