Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on the medical-surgical unit.
• Administer medications and monitor patients’ conditions, ensuring rapid, effective interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for coordinated patient care.
• Accurately document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses using the facility’s electronic health record.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, post-discharge care, and medication management.
• Participate in unit improvement initiatives and support a positive working environment.

Desired Experience & Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois (or compact state eligibility).
• Minimum of one year of recent Med Surg experience preferred.
• BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred.
• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
