Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Chelsea, MI

Schedule/Hours:

• 7AM-7PM shifts
• 13-week assignment
• Potential to float to units of equal or lower acuity as needed

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Michigan RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Med Surg nursing
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Flexibility to float to a lockdown unit if requested

Preferred Experience:

• Base knowledge of telemetry and monitoring
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to adapt to varied clinical settings and patient populations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care to medical-surgical patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, document findings, and create or revise care plans as needed
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and promptly report any changes in patient condition
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and health maintenance
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to facilitate efficient care delivery
• Comply with facility policies, regulatory standards, and infection control protocols
• Participate in floating assignments to ensure optimal staffing coverage throughout the facility
