Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of one year of experience in a medical-surgical nursing setting
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and prioritize multiple tasks
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population with medical and surgical needs
- Conduct assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and monitor patients' progress
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and support staff
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
- Document care accurately within electronic medical records
- Respond promptly to emergent situations using sound clinical judgment
- Adhere to facility and health system policies, as well as industry best practices
