Medical-Surgical RN in Cicero, IL

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• Previous experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred
• Strong assessment, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities
• Proficient in electronic health record documentation
• BLS certification (required)
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and staff
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments, develop nursing care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
• Monitor, interpret, and document patient conditions and responses to treatments
• Administer medications, therapies, and IVs as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and allied health personnel to coordinate patient care
• Uphold infection control protocols and ensure patient safety throughout care delivery
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to discharge planning
