Schedule/Hours:

  • Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license, in good standing
  • Proven experience in a medical-surgical (MS) setting
  • Excellent clinical assessment and patient care skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to take on occasional charge responsibilities, with training provided
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with diverse medical conditions on a medical-surgical unit
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress accurately
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per facility protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and families on care plans, treatment, and discharge instructions
  • Participate in unit initiatives, quality improvement, and staff meetings
  • Assume charge nurse duties as scheduled, following completion of training and shadowing
