Experienced registered nurses are needed to deliver high-quality care for adult medical/surgical inpatients, including those in orthopedics, neuro-surgical, and level 1 trauma environments. This contract position calls for professionals committed to safety, quality, and improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive bedside care for medical/surgical adult inpatients, with a focus on orthopedics, neuro-surgical, and trauma cases
  • Prioritize patient safety and work towards zero-harm environments through vigilant monitoring and adherence to protocols
  • Implement pain management strategies to enhance patient comfort and satisfaction
  • Participate in proactive rounding and consistent bedside hand-offs to strengthen communication and care continuity
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to formulate and update individualized care plans
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in patient records
  • Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring needs are addressed quickly and compassionately

Qualifications:

  • Active and unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical/surgical inpatient setting, with exposure to orthopedics, neuro-surgical, or trauma preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to promote patient safety and adhere to best practice protocols
  • Strong communication skills for effective interactions with patients and clinical teams
  • Proficiency in modern patient record systems and documentation standards
  • BLS certification required; additional certifications relevant to trauma or surgical care are advantageous
