A dynamic opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical experience to join a well-established 30-bed acute care unit specializing in comprehensive patient care. Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care on a med-surg unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
- Perform advanced clinical skills including IV starts, NGT placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Utilize medical equipment such as wound vacuums, heparin drips, iv pumps, glucometers, bladder scanners, feeding pumps, and telemetry monitors
- Document patient care accurately in the Editech system
- Participate in floating between designated units as needed to support patient care demands
- Maintain a positive attitude to enhance patient and family experience; address concerns promptly and professionally
- Adhere to unit protocols and dress code, wearing navy scrubs to maintain a professional appearance
Qualifications and Desired Experience
- Current RN licensure with strong med-surg background
- Proficiency with IV starts, NGT placement, and wound care required
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms essential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
