Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Coldwater, MI

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing setting
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of EMR systems
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Ability to remain calm and provide leadership in high-pressure situations

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts, including days, nights, and weekends may be required, based on department needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct head-to-toe assessments and monitor patient progress
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols
• Educate patients and families on conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document all patient care accurately in electronic medical records
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and intervene appropriately
• Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards
