Shift Details:
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirement
- Holiday work: 75% of holidays (per contract)
- Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
- Up to 6 days off approved (excluding holidays; contract end may be extended for missed hours)
Preferred Experience & Licensing:
- At least 18 months recent Med/Tele RN experience (Resource Team requirement)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (per Resource Team requirements)
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, NGT and drain/tube management
- Medication titration including cardiac drips, Heparin, blood product administration, and IVFs
Typical Patient Population:
- General medical telemetry overflow and surgical (bariatric, urology, general post-op, abdominal/GI cases, foot/ankle procedures)
- RN patient ratios: Typically 1:5-6, may surge up to 1:7-8
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, patient-centered care across medical/surgical, telemetry, and surgical patient populations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team, including CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomists, and respiratory therapists
- Document care and communicate updates using Epic EMR
