On this assignment, you'll be part of a Medical Respiratory Unit specializing in acute and chronic respiratory care on a 42-bed unit, with the unique addition of an 8-bed respiratory step-down unit. Here, you’ll care for patients with diverse needs, from COPD and pneumonia to GI conditions and surgical recovery. Interdisciplinary team rounds and flexible scheduling (36 or 48 hours per week) ensure you’re fully integrated into a modern, collaborative clinical environment, offering insight into a variety of workplace practices and clinical leadership approaches. Schedule/Hours:

• 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend
• Holidays as required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate degree in nursing
• RN license (State of Alabama or Compact; no temp licenses)
• Certification in AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS
• At least 18 months’ nursing experience, with 1 year of recent specialty experience
• Ability to float to other units and hospitals as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality care to respiratory/medical patients (1:6 or 1:4 ratio)
• Collaborate during daily interdisciplinary rounds
• Float between units or facilities as required
• Deliver evidence-based treatments for a diverse patient population
