Schedule/Hours

  • Day shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Weekends: Every other weekend
  • Maximum 7 days of requested time off
  • Coverage for major holidays required per assignment period

Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years’ nursing experience; candidates with less experience considered
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations, especially in med/surg and renal care
  • Proficient in HD cath management, manual PD/PD cycler use, sepsis protocols, telemetry monitoring, CIWA protocols, UTI, CKD, and HTN emergencies
  • Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
  • Flexible to float to other units as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver patient-centered care in a 20-room, high-acuity unit (average census: 18)
  • Prioritize and manage a patient ratio of 1:6
  • Monitor and document patient progress within electronic systems
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create safe, effective care plans
  • Participate in ongoing training with full compliance to facility protocols
  • Maintain professional standards including proper documentation, scrub colors (navy, white, or combinations), and communication protocols
