Engage in a dynamic Med-Surg/Tele environment where you’ll collaborate with a dedicated, supportive team and expand your clinical expertise. This travel assignment exposes you to diverse workplace practices, a variety of patient populations, and regionally integrated facilities—giving you valuable insight into different leadership styles and organizational cultures. You'll strengthen your resume by gaining hands-on experience with advanced primary stroke care and manage a wide variety of diagnoses.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts: 7:00am–7:00pm or 7:00pm–7:00am
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- Holiday coverage: 75% required
- Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, plus BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med-Surg/Tele experience
- Proficiency in general Med/Tele skills, including stroke assessment, chest tube management, PIV starts, trach care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, drain/tube management, and PCA pump operation
- Experience with cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, and IVF management
- Familiarity with Epic EMR, Alaris pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care for stroke, COPD, chest pain, altered mental status, and GI bleed patients
- Patient assignments typically 1:5–6, up to 1:7–8 with surge staffing
- Floating to regional facilities as required, with paid travel time between shifts
- Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, and a 24/7 hospitalist and respiratory team
