Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel assignment
  • Floating to various regional facilities as needed within scope
  • Department orientation and comprehensive onboarding included

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 18 months’ experience in MedSurg/Telemetry
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Strong Med/Tele clinical skills, including stroke care, trach care, NGT management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication drip management, and tube/drain care
  • Previous travel experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a patient load of 5-6 (may vary with acuity)
  • Provide care to individuals with diagnoses such as stroke, COPD, chest pain, GI bleed, and altered mental status
  • Perform and interpret NIH stroke assessments, chest tube management, and PIV starts
  • Safely administer medications and manage cardiac drips, blood products, and IV fluids
  • Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary support teams
  • Adapt to floating within the regional system as patient needs dictate
