In this MedSurg/Telemetry nursing position, you’ll expand your clinical expertise while collaborating with seasoned professionals across multi-site hospitals. Schedule/Hours:
- Flexible scheduling based on regional needs
- Floating required within regional partner facilities (paid travel time if floated mid-shift)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 18 months recent Med/Tele nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency in: Stroke care/NIH assessments, cardiac rhythm interpretation, PIV starts, chest tube and trach care, NGT placement, drain/tube management, PCA pumps
- Familiarity with cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IV fluids, and general MedSurg/Telemetry skills
- Willingness to float to other facilities as needed
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients with diagnoses like stroke, COPD, chest pain, GI bleeds, and altered mental status
- Maintain patient ratios typically 1:5–6, up to 1:7–8 during surges
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including CNAs, RTs, phlebotomists, and hospitalists
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and Philips monitors for telemetry
- Adhere to evidence-based protocols and actively contribute to a positive, team-focused workplace culture
