Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care as a registered nurse in a telemetry intermediate care setting. This contract assignment is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to contribute to a collaborative and supportive environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts

Unit Overview:

  • 37-bed telemetry unit located on the third floor
  • Team structure includes 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, and 1 Unit Clerk per day, with a similar ratio at night
  • Patient ratios of 1:6, and 1:4 for those in Heart Cath recovery
  • Equipment: PCA pumps, IV pumps, chest tubes; all documentation via Meditech EMR

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with recent experience in medical-surgical or intermediate care settings
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Strongly preferred: Experience with central line management, medication drips, heart catheterization recovery, and bubble studies
  • Recognized for a positive, engaged attitude and strong critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care for telemetry and medical-surgical patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to emergencies, and deliver appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, including other nursing staff and Patient Care Techs
  • Manage and adjust medical devices, administer medication drips, and provide chest tube care as required
  • Assist patients recovering from cardiac catheterizations, supporting recovery and monitoring outcomes
