Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Proven experience in Medical-Surgical (MS) nursing
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement comprehensive nursing care for patients on the Medical-Surgical unit
  • Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and develop care plans
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care instructions
  • Uphold infection control and patient safety protocols at all times
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
