Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Des Plaines, IL

Hours/Schedule

• Day shift, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend rotation
• Holiday coverage as required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver quality nursing care to patients on a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke and neuro cases.
• Respond effectively to rapid changes in patient status, utilizing advanced stroke and neurology protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimum patient outcomes.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, monitoring, and documentation skills.
• Be flexible and ready to float to similar units based on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent stroke/neuro experience required; 3 years preferred
• Valid RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (all must be provided at submission)
• Successful completion of EKG test
• Ability and willingness to float as needed to like units
