Registered Nurse Med Surg | Eatonton, Georgia

Experience the fast-paced and rewarding environment of Emergency and Medical-Surgical nursing with this night shift contract opportunity in a supportive, close-knit unit culture. This role provides hands-on care in a busy ER and Med-Surg setting, with the chance to float to the Skilled Nursing Unit and provide med-surg holds as needed.

Schedule & Shift Details:

• 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm – 7:00am), 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation: 6 shifts every 6 weeks (half your shifts)
• Holiday coverage: one shift per major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s)
• No on-call or call back required

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and active RN license (GA)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as an ED RN required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required
• BCR certification required
• TNCC and national Emergency Nursing certification preferred
• EMR documentation experience (EPIC preferred)
• Proficient with IV medications, drip management, and nurse phlebotomy
• Must be able to float to SNU and ER as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary nursing care for high-acuity patients with diverse diagnoses (e.g., chest pain, stroke, diabetes, trauma)
• Maintain patient ratios averaging 1:3-4 in the ED
• Monitor telemetry strips and utilize advanced equipment (e.g., VS3, Nova Glucose Stat, LUCAS, Level One Rapid Infuser)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hospitalists, intensivists, and pharmacy
• Participate in a positive unit culture with a focus on teamwork and support

$1,579 - $1,728/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
