Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts—no blocked scheduling
  • Guaranteed 48 hours per week (orientation week may vary)
  • 8-week contract, with every other weekend and holiday required

As a key member within a Level II Trauma Center (340 beds, surgical/ortho focus), you’ll experience diverse workplace practices, adapt to fast-paced environments, and strengthen your ability to manage change—all while working alongside strong, supportive leaders. Regular float opportunities across all Med Surg/Tele units broaden your scope and build versatility. This hands-on role ensures your resume reflects experience in trauma care, advanced telemetry, and interdisciplinary teamwork.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current KY or Compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in MS/Tele, including Level I or II Trauma exposure
  • Charting experience in Care View/EPIC preferred (training provided)
  • EKG proficiency required (test completed during onboarding)
  • Ability to interpret tele strips and thrive in general Med/Tele units
  • Social, reliable, strong communication, and adaptable attitude

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care on surgical/ortho and med/tele units, patient ratio 1:6
  • Float throughout inpatient areas as needed
  • Function collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Maintain compliance with safety and documentation protocols
