Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Ellinwood, Kansas

Provide exceptional care and support in a dynamic medical-surgical unit, working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary healthcare team. Qualifications and Skills:

• Active RN license with eligibility to practice
• Recent experience in medical-surgical (Med Surg) nursing
• Proficiency in comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Strong clinical judgment, organizational abilities, and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for patient and family education, and team collaboration
• BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care specific to Med Surg patient needs
• Administer medications and treatments, documenting all care in accordance with hospital policies
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, promptly identify changes in patient condition, and take appropriate action
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, post-discharge care, and ongoing wellness strategies
• Work effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records; adhere to safety and infection control protocols
• Respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations
• Foster a compassionate, patient-centered environment at all times

$1,790 - $1,958/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
