Registered Nurse Med Surg | Elmira, New York

This contract assignment is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with medical-surgical experience to be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour night shifts per week
• 13-week contract

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in good standing
• Proven experience in a medical-surgical unit
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in dynamic healthcare environments
• BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and carry out ordered treatments
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement effective patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on procedures, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Respond swiftly to changes in patient condition or emergencies
