This opportunity offers a contract position for skilled Registered Nurses with recent experience in med-surg (medical-surgical) environments and a passion for supporting diverse adult patient populations.
Schedule/Hours:
- Full-time contract position
- 36–40 hours per week (actual hours may vary)
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum one year of recent experience in a med-surg hospital unit
- Proficiency in clinical assessments, patient monitoring, and standardized documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both colleagues and patients
- BLS certification (required); additional specialty certifications encouraged
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for medical-surgical patients, adapting to a dynamic caseload
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately and promptly
- Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and interventions while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and allied health staff to optimize care plans
- Serve as a supportive resource for patients and families, addressing questions and providing education
- Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment, participating in safety initiatives, shift reports, and performance improvement processes
