Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Eureka, CA

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract position
• 36–40 hours per week (actual hours may vary)

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum one year of recent experience in a med-surg hospital unit
• Proficiency in clinical assessments, patient monitoring, and standardized documentation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both colleagues and patients
• BLS certification (required); additional specialty certifications encouraged

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care for medical-surgical patients, adapting to a dynamic caseload
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions accurately and promptly
• Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and interventions while ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and allied health staff to optimize care plans
• Serve as a supportive resource for patients and families, addressing questions and providing education
• Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment, participating in safety initiatives, shift reports, and performance improvement processes
