Registered Nurse Med Surg | Eureka, California

A rewarding opportunity is available for skilled Registered Nurses specializing in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care. In this essential role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate nursing support, coordinating and delivering effective care to adult patients on a contract basis.

Schedule/Hours:

• Full-time contract, 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IVs according to physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, healthcare team members, and families to deliver coordinated patient care
• Document patient status, observations, and interventions accurately in electronic health records
• Provide patient education regarding procedures, diagnoses, and ongoing care needs
• Respond proficiently to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license (in good standing)
• Recent experience as a Med Surg RN or RN-MS in an acute care setting
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficient in electronic medical records and up-to-date with evidence-based nursing practices
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred
