Registered Nurse Med Surg | Fayetteville, West Virginia

Qualifications:

• Active and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent Med-Surg nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and prioritize patient needs
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical/surgical conditions
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed
• Monitor patients’ status and report changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services
• Advocate for patient safety and quality of care at all times
• Educate patients and families about procedures, treatments, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
