Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license in applicable state
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) unit
• BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to document accurately and timely within electronic medical records
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, effective nursing care to Med Surg patients
• Monitor vital signs and perform assessments to detect changes in a patient’s status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Document all aspects of patient care, clearly and concisely
• Effectively communicate with physicians, patients, and family members regarding care plans
• Participate in admission, discharge, and transition-of-care processes
• Maintain infection control practices and ensure patient safety standards
