Registered Nurse Med Surg | Gardendale, Alabama

A professional opportunity awaits for an experienced RN skilled in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality care to a diverse patient population in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Schedule:

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Demonstrated experience using Cerner electronic medical records is required
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs effectively
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, telemetry rhythms, and promptly identify changes in clinical status
• Document all care clearly and accurately using the Cerner EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with diagnostic procedures as ordered
• Patient education and discharge planning as an essential part of individualized care
• Adhere closely to facility policies, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines
