Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - Gardendale, Alabama

Qualifications:

• Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical (MS) and/or telemetry unit
• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and critical thinking skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, assess, and provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in both MS and telemetry settings
• Identify, document, and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating findings as appropriate
• Accurately administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies according to best practices and physician orders
• Conduct and interpret cardiac monitoring, swiftly addressing arrhythmias or other concerns
• Collaborate closely with physicians, allied health, and fellow nurses to ensure a seamless, patient-focused care experience
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care to promote optimal outcomes
• Maintain clear, concise medical records in accordance with facility policies
