Advance your nursing career in a dynamic, resource-rich hospital environment specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry care. This contract opportunity is ideal for RNs eager to deliver high-quality, compassionate care while broadening their clinical skills across diverse patient populations.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation: every other
  • No call required
  • Holiday coverage: 75% participation expected
  • Scheduling cycles: every 6 weeks
  • Up to 6 days off can be pre-approved (excluding holidays)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Current, valid RN license
  • Minimum 18 months Med/Surg or Telemetry experience (Resource Team requirement)
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Strong general Med/Tele abilities, including:
    • Cardiac rhythm interpretation
    • Stroke patient care
    • Chest tube and drain management
    • Trach care, PIV starts, NGT placement
    • Medication gtt management (cardiac drips, heparin, blood products, IV fluids)
    • Experience with PCA pumps and Foley/PEG tube management
  • Preferred: Prior travel experience (will consider first-time travelers)
  • Willingness to float within designated regional facilities as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient-centered care to a varied Medical Telemetry population: End Stage Renal, diabetes complications, altered mental status, behavioral health, fluid overload, and more
  • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5-6; adjust to critical surge as needed
  • Collaborate with a robust support team: CNAs, resource nurses, phlebotomists, RT, hospitalists, and intensivists
  • Utilize advanced medical technology such as Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensers, and Phillips monitors
  • Adhere to facility protocols, including orientation and regional float requirements
