Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts—choose from days (7a-7p) or nights (7p-7a)
- Every other weekend rotation
- No call requirements
- 6-week scheduling cycles
- Holiday work expectations (75% of holidays)
- Approved time off: up to 6 days, with contract extension if needed
Ideal Background & Requirements:
- Active RN license and 2+ years of MedSurg/Tele nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
- Proficiency in stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach and chest tube management, and post-op neuro/spine recovery
- Skilled with pain management—including complex histories
- EPIC proficiency and comfort with Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and advanced monitoring
- Openness to floating between facilities within assigned region
- Emphasis on teamwork, adaptability, and quality-improvement mindset
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive assessment and care for high-acuity MedSurg/Tele patients
- Medication administration, including drips and IV therapies
- Post-op neuro/spine care and patient-family education
- Maintain safety protocols: fall, infection, and complication prevention
- Active participation in real-time feedback and process improvement
