Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Gastonia, NC

You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team across medical-surgical telemetry units and surgical post-op floors—gaining clinical exposure to bariatric, urology, and general abdominal surgery patients. Whether rotating weekly schedules or floating between regional facilities, you’ll sharpen your adaptability and broaden your Med/Tele expertise, all while building essential leadership skills.

Schedule & Hours:

• Rotating weekends: every other
• No call required
• Departmental scheduling cycle: every 6 weeks
• 75% of holidays scheduled
• Up to 6 days off pre-approved (excluding holidays)
• Paid time for mid-shift float travel

Qualifications:

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• 18+ months of Med/Tele RN experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency: cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, NGT/chest tube/drain management, PCA pumps, cardiac drips, blood products

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient-centered care on Med/Tele and surgical telemetry units
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms
• Manage pre- and post-op surgical patients
• Initiate and maintain IVs, tubes, drains, and infusions
• Collaborate with hospitalists, CNA’s, RT, and ancillary support
• Float within assigned region/facilities as needed
