Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) - Hartford, CT

Key Qualifications:

• Active and current RN license
• Demonstrated experience in medical-surgical (med/surg) nursing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced setting
• Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
• BLS certification (required), additional certifications preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, implement care plans, and adjust as required
• Administer medications, IVs, and other therapies with strict attention to safety
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols and post-discharge plans
• Maintain thorough and timely charting per facility standards
• Respond efficiently to emergencies and changing patient needs
