RN Med Surg | Headland, Alabama

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with a background in Medical-Surgical (RN-MS) care. This position is designed for a dedicated professional who thrives in a travel contract role, supporting outstanding patient care.

Schedule:

• Night shifts: 7:00pm – 7:00am
• 13-week contract duration

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid)
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health record systems
• Permanent residence located at least 50 miles from facility
• Strong assessment, organizational, and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing care environments and work both independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a busy Med Surg unit, following all clinical standards
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and documentation in accordance with guidelines
• Implement physician orders, administer medication and treatments accurately
• Monitor patient progress, report critical changes, and adjust care plans as needed
• Foster a positive, compassionate environment that supports patient recovery
• Communicate clearly with patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team
• Support and mentor ancillary staff when appropriate
