Deliver compassionate care as a skilled Med/Surg Float Pool nurse in a fast-paced hospital environment. This contract opportunity involves working across five Medical/Surgical units and supporting the Emergency Room as needed, ensuring diverse experiences and the chance to refine your clinical skills.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekends as required
  • Orientation dates available: 5/11 or 5/18

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact license—must be verified at submission
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience using Cerner EMR preferred
  • Comfortable floating within five Med/Surg units and to the ER when needed
  • Professional demeanor and adaptability for varied unit assignments
  • Must provide own navy scrubs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care to adult (18+) general Med/Surg patients
  • Manage nurse-patient ratios ranging from 1:1 up to 1:6
  • Assess, plan, and implement patient care in accordance with clinical protocols
  • Administer medications, treatments, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrate flexibility—float between units and respond to changing acuity
  • Document accurately using Cerner EMR
  • Support positive patient outcomes through collaboration and compassionate care
