Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Hillsdale, MI

Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) care for an exciting contract position. This opportunity allows you to deliver comprehensive nursing services within a supportive hospital setting, providing quality care and making a significant impact on patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proven experience in a Medical-Surgical (MS or Med Surg) environment
• Proficiency in performing patient assessments, developing care plans, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Solid knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation best practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• BLS certification required; additional certifications (such as ACLS) are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the facility
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient-centered care
• Monitor, assess, and document patients’ conditions and responses to treatments or interventions
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and support recovery for post-op or acutely ill patients
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
• Participate in daily shift reports and promote effective communication among staff
