Key qualifications and experience:
- Active and current RN license
- At least one year of recent experience in a Med-Surg hospital unit
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
- Ability to effectively collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and families
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Schedule:
- Contract position with full-time hours
- Variable shifts available, including some weekends and holidays as required by the unit
Primary responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans for diverse adult populations
- Administer medications, therapies, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
- Monitor vital signs and promptly identify changes in patient condition
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using hospital EMR
- Provide effective patient education and support prior to discharge
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
