Medical-Surgical RN in Horseheads, NY

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, updating healthcare records accurately
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform routine procedures according to evidence-based protocols
• Work closely with physicians and allied health professionals to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and address any emergencies with poise and skill
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for all patients

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year experience in medical-surgical (Med-Surg) nursing
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Proficient with electronic health records and documentation standards
• Ability to work effectively during night shifts and manage time efficiently
• BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred

Schedule:

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (3x12s Nights)
• 13-week contract assignment
