Schedule/Hours:
- Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 – 07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Typical schedule alternates 36/48 hours over a two-week pay period
As a valued member of the medical-surgical team, you’ll care for patients in a fast-paced environment with 1:5 to 1:6 nurse-patient ratios. You will regularly float within your scope of practice to support various units, adapting to census and staffing needs. This is a fantastic way to see a variety of clinical practices and leadership approaches in action. You’ll document using Meditech EMR and participate in bi-weekly orientation with a supportive multidisciplinary staff, fostering continuous learning and growth.
Qualifications:
- Active KY or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of current Med-Surg/Tele experience
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications; NIH stroke certification
- Willingness to float across units (within scope)
- Must live at least 75 miles from the facility
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Adjust to fluctuating patient ratios and census
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based clinical care
- Rotate shifts per unit and census requirements
