Medical-Surgical RN in Ithaca, NY

Schedule/Hours:

• 3x12-hour night shifts per week
• 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

• Valid and active RN license
• Experience in medical-surgical settings (RN-MS, RN-Med Surg)
• Strong clinical assessment and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent time management and critical thinking abilities
• Current certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a range of adult patients on a med-surg floor
• Perform comprehensive assessments and document patient progress accurately
• Administer medications, treatments, and coordinate with the physician team
• Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition
• Educate patients and their families on ongoing care needs and discharge planning
• Maintain compliance with facility protocols and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with the care team to support positive patient outcomes
