Seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse to support a high-acuity healthcare environment on a 13-week contract. This hands-on position requires clinical expertise, adaptability, and a commitment to quality patient care. Candidates will be scheduled for 12-hour shifts from 7AM to 7PM, with the possibility of floating to units with equal or lower acuity, depending on patient needs.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7AM – 7PM
  • Flexibility to float to other units, including potential assignments in a lockdown unit
  • 13-week contract

Qualifications:

  • Active Michigan RN license in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years of current experience as a Med Surg registered nurse
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (must be current)
  • Demonstrated clinical competency in hospital environments
  • Preferred: Familiarity with base telemetry monitoring
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in varying units and patient populations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive care to medical-surgical patients, monitoring for changes and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Float according to staffing needs, adapting to different patient populations and acuity levels
  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care and promptly report any changes in patient condition
  • Maintain compliance with facility standards, safety protocols, and infection control measures
