As an RN specializing in Med-Surg Oncology, you’ll join a dynamic environment offering valuable exposure to leading-edge nursing practice, collaborative multidisciplinary care, and diverse leadership approaches. Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week assignment
- 36 hours per week
- Night shifts: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Every other weekend required (Friday/Saturday night or Saturday/Sunday night)
- No call requirements
- May float as needed
Desired Qualifications:
- Current RN license (state specific or compact)
- Minimum one year recent experience in Med-Surg/Oncology setting
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Experience with chemotherapy administration preferred
- BLS certification required; other oncology/nursing certifications a plus
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to oncology and med-surg patients
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Monitor, assess, and document patient status and responses
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy (where credentialed)
- Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery processes
- Uphold rigorous safety and infection control standards
