Travel Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse in Kings Mountain, NC

Schedule:

• Rotating shifts: 0645-1915 or 1845-0715
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend
• Holiday participation: 75% of holidays
• Call: Possible low census with recall as needed
• 6-week scheduling cycles

Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 months of current Med/Tele RN experience
• Open to first-time travelers
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• At least 6 months of recent EPIC EMR experience

Essential Skills:

• Advanced cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone)
• Strong med/surg skills: IV starts, wound care, managing tubes/drains
• Familiarity with Alaris pumps, Omnicell, and Massimo monitoring equipment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive care to a diverse, fast-paced patient population, including those with cardiac, respiratory, and neurological diagnoses
• Manage an RN ratio of 1:5-6, occasionally up to 1:7-8 during surges
• Float within a region of partnering facilities in accordance with unit needs (compensated for travel between facilities during shifts)
• Engage collaboratively with a strong support team (CNA, charge nurse, phlebotomy, IV/VAT, 24/7 RT and intensivists)
• Contribute to a positive and energetic unit culture
