Step into a dynamic Med/Surg nursing role focused on renal patient populations, supporting adults through geriatrics in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll work alongside an experienced team, caring for patients with diverse needs such as sepsis, CKD, HTN emergencies, and more, providing both complex and standard Med/Surg support.

Schedule:

  • Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
  • Every other weekend rotation
  • Maximum of 7 requested days off allowed
  • Holiday coverage required per assignment length (see details)

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg experience (first-time travelers welcome)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Comfortable managing: renal/HD catheters, manual PD/PD cyclers, sepsis care, tele monitoring, ETOH withdrawal (CIWA protocol), UTI, and hypertensive emergencies
  • Familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR
  • Flexible to float as needed
  • Adheres to full compliance standards prior to start date

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for adults and geriatric patients
  • Prioritize patient safety while managing a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Document accurately using EMR and electronic medication systems
  • Communicate collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Participate in ongoing clinical screens and adhere to facility guidelines
  • Maintain professional appearance with navy, white, or approved combination scrubs
