Registered Nurse Med Surg | Lawrenceville, Georgia

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift, 3x12-hour (07:00 - 19:00)
• Work every other weekend
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off permitted within the contract duration
• Holiday coverage required based on assignment dates (outlined below)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years’ Med/Surg experience (first-time contract nurses welcome)
• Current BLS certification
• Experience managing high-acuity renal cases with skills in HD catheter management, manual PD/PD cycler, tele monitoring, and sepsis care
• Familiarity with CIWA, UTI, CKD, and hypertensive emergencies preferred
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Epic, Pyxis, and using SBAR for handoffs

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive care to adults and geriatrics with a focus on renal needs
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, collaborating with the healthcare team
• Manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio within a 20-bed unit
• Float to other units as required
• Work major holidays per assignment schedule: coverage expectations include New Year's, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, and Christmas, as outlined in the assignment
