A nursing role is available in Lawton, OK, offering a contract opportunity with a 7p-7a shift and a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio. This position requires a minimum of one year of medical-surgical nursing experience. The focus of the role is to develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans for a diverse patient population, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments and nursing diagnoses
- Creating and managing individualized patient care plans
- Collaborating effectively with ancillary nursing staff and other healthcare team members to maintain professional nursing standards
- Administering prescribed medications and accurately documenting the process
- Performing clinical tasks such as dressing changes, catheter insertions, and IV placements

- Flexibility to float to other medical-surgical units when required
