Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts, 6:45 – 7:15
- Day and night shift options
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday shifts as needed
Key Qualifications:
- Current RN license; BLS and NIHSS certifications (both AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Med-Surg, including at least 1 previous travel assignment
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred but not required
- Comfortable with a patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally 1:6
- Able to work collaboratively with CNAs and nurse aides
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional patient-centered care in a 44-bed med-surg unit
- Float as needed within acute care, cardiac, or emergency holding units
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team of 40 staff members
- Utilize Meditech EMR for documentation (orientation provided)
- Wear Caribbean blue scrubs for all shifts
- Provide competent support to CNAs (ratios 1:8 to 1:10), often acting as sitters
Workplace Experience:
- Week-long general orientation including EMR training
- Additional 2 days of floor-specific orientation
- Exposure to telemetry (monitored remotely)
