Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) | Maben, Mississippi

This contract role offers a 13-week assignment with rotating night shifts designed to balance your professional and personal commitments. You will work with a diverse range of patient populations including medical, orthopedic, general surgery, gastrointestinal, telemetry, and stepdown cases—making this a fantastic opportunity to broaden your clinical skills.

Schedule/Hours:

• Rotates between two night shift patterns:
  • Rotation 1: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun, Thurs, Fri
  • Rotation 2: Wed, Thurs, Fri, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tues (Nights)

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license in Mississippi
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
• Proficient with EPIC electronic health record system
• Comfortable managing a 5–7 patient load, including several total care patients
• Experience with a wide variety of patient types (medical, ortho, general surgery, GI, telemetry, stepdown)
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive patient care for a varied patient population
• Effectively document in EPIC and ensure accuracy in health records
• Prioritize and manage multiple patient assignments during each shift
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, nursing staff, and ancillary team members
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and effectively
• Uphold high standards of infection control and patient safety at all times
