This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses eager to work within a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) setting that sees a broad range of cases—medical, orthopedic, general surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, telemetry, and stepdown-level care.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week assignment
  • Rotating shifts:
    • Rotation 1: Monday to Sunday with varied presence across weekdays and the weekend
    • Rotation 2: Includes consecutive nights and rotating weekdays/weekends

Qualifications:

  • Active Mississippi RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ recent Med-Surg experience highly preferred
  • Solid proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
  • Able to confidently manage 5-7 patients per shift, including several total care cases

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver quality nursing care to a diverse patient population across medical, orthopedic, surgical, telemetry, and intermediate care levels
  • Accurately document patient interventions and status using EPIC
  • Respond to patient needs and emergencies with professionalism and timeliness
  • Effectively collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to strive for optimal patient outcomes
  • Manage the care of higher-acuity stepdown patients when needed
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development within the unit
