An exceptional opportunity is available for skilled Registered Nurses with strong expertise in Medical-Surgical care. This contract assignment spans 13 weeks and supports multiple acute care floors. The ideal candidate excels in fast-paced environments, delivers patient-centered care, and has experience with EPIC charting systems. This role requires immediate availability and commitment to scheduled hours throughout the contract duration.
Schedule/Hours:
- Various 12-hour shifts available
- Full commitment is required (no requested time off during assignment)
Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in good standing
- At least 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical RN experience
- Demonstrated proficiency using EPIC EMR (required)
- A complete candidate profile: Up-to-date work history/resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to manage patient care for diverse and complex caseloads
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safe, effective delivery of nursing care to patients on assigned med-surg units
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient responses
- Accurately document all aspects of care using EPIC
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and recovery
- Adhere to all facility and regulatory safety protocols
